If you are wavering about whether to buy an electric bike, then waver no more. This machine far exceeds my expectations and has made cycling what it always should have been. If you get tired, meet strong headwinds or need to climb a steeper hill than you ever thought you could then press the red button... The bike can be ridden as an ordinary mountain bike but it is obviously heavier than a standard road bike.
I quickly got used to switching between peddle and motor power and it feels safe and comfortable. I do an eight mile loop of quite hilly cycling and there seems to be plenty of juice left after that. I haven't tried to drain the battery so far but I think the range will be good.
You will need a little cycling know-how to put it together, but nothing too specialized and I would advise you to try it out on a quiet road before launching yourself into the wider world.
This is a lot of bike for the money and it arrived very quickly, with all parts and in perfect condition.

Weeks on and I continue to be REALLY impressed, but I would have liked a spare battery, which could not be supplied. That said, I still have not managed to run out of power - and I have tried...

I received the bike quite well packed and it took about 30 minutes to assemble it. It is brilliant. Charging can be done in doors as the battery lifts out of the cradle. Charging takes about 4 hours.
Riding the bike is wonderful. If you select assisted riding the motor cuts in and out as you pedal. What it means is that if you get up to the 15mph the motor tick over making riding effortless. Then when you get to a hill drop a couple of gears and quite steep hills become a breeze to cycle up.
The bike seems to be sturdy and well made. You will need a good lock. I also bought a super vibration activated alarm (Lock Alarm Mini [Sports]) which initially kept sounding but now I put it through the back wheel and lay it on the floor. No more false alarms.

Better than expected. well engineered and looks and acts as a normal bike.
Under pedal assist takes the strain out inclines and head winds, still needs some effort on steep hills.
Have not managed to flatten the battery yet but not worried as it performs well as normal bike. over all a great experience.

i recently bought this bike as a commute to get to work originally wanting a moped.
this caught my eye and that was that and i can honestly say it is the best thing i have ever bought and worth it.
i live roughly 2miles from work and i did it in 10minutes and have been using it ever since - much better than the 30minute wait for the bus.
im sorry i didnt buy it sooner.
the suspension is a bit of a let down but not really neccesary for roads.
the battery does seem to last, however it came a little dinted but didnt really affect the bike.
everything else is great. i cant say enough nice things about this and many people at work want to steal it from me.
you really wont be dissapointed.

After I took delivery of the bike I noticed the gears had been damaged in transit and initially was more than disappointed. However, through the Top Bike Shop team and particularly Sports HQ, the damage issue has been rapidly resolved and the bike itself I would recommend to anyone.
I suffer with bad arthritis and now find riding my normal bike increasingly difficult if not impossible. The Cyclamatic has just given me the ability to cycle once again and seems well built and is a wonderful bit of kit.
I would like to know how much a replacement battery is and how long with fairly regular use the original battery is likely to last?
